Mara River Camp by Karibu

Accommodation around the Mara River tends to split in two: the affordable end is mostly seasonal mobile camps — often well placed, but comfort takes a hit — while anything more comfortable and more settled jumps almost immediately into Luxury pricing. Mara River Camp fills the space in between. Its position is very good, in the Mara River area of the northern Serengeti, about ten minutes’ drive by the camp’s own account. In the crossing season you can use it as a base to work the river without losing hours each day getting to the action.

At the same time it keeps the comfort a permanent camp should have: spacious rooms with full en-suite bathrooms, private verandas and well-developed public areas, plus a pool.
